Profession Updates
Assassin
Daggers are now ranged weapons.
Shadow Step skills can now be used only when standing in a shaded area.
Shadow Form: added the following functionality: "Deletes all characters on your account when Shadow Form ends."
New skill: One Last Breath: "When striking a foe with arms wide open, this skill knocks target foe back by six feet."
Dervish
Onslaught: decreased attack and movement speed bonuses to 10%.
Onslaught (PvP): increased attack and movement speed bonuses to 33%.
Elementalist
Elementalists have been renamed to "Sorcerers."
Removed the Fire Magic attribute.
All magic damage is now based on rank in the Friendship attribute.

Thunderclap: changed skill type to shout. Renamed to "Thunder, Thunder, Thunderclap! HOOOOOOOO!"
Mesmer
Male Canthan Mesmers have 20 additional attribute points.
Mesmer skills now scale with the flamboyance of your armor.
Monk
Monks can now wear heavy armor.
New skill: Salma's Hospitality: "Any doors or gates barring the enemy from reaching you are opened."
Necromancer
Minions have formed a union; you now pay 1 gold per second per animated minion.
Life Siphon: removed Health degeneration and regeneration; now affects your and target foe's maximum Health.
Paragon
No changes.
Ranger
Added the secondary attribute "Bee Mastery;" Rangers may only use this attribute in pre-Searing.
Activated traps now cause the player character to shout, "You've activated my trap!"
Due to regional laws regarding the treatment of endangered species, panda pets are now invincible.
Charm Animal: added the functionality to charm other players' minipets.
Ritualist
Dragon Empire Rage is now available to players who purchased the Bonus Mission Pack.
Spirits are now mobile.
New skill: Bald was Togo: "While you hold Togo's ashes, foes striking you are blinded, but your voice sounds funny."
Summoner
New profession: Summoner; only seven players at a time are able to play as Summoners.
Warrior

New quest: "Annihilator 2: Searing Day" in Embark Beach.

All quests now contain Afflicted spawns.
Miscellaneous
Fissure of Woe, the Underworld, and Chahbek Village are now PvP zones.
Changed the name of White Crabs in the Tarnished Coast and the Depths of Tyria to "Some Kind of Cave Demon."

Hero Keiran Thackeray's profession has been changed to Ritualist.

Kurzick Duelists now properly send defeated foes to the Shadow Realm.

- Gwen is now an Elementalist Hero. Whenever she gets mad in combat, her skill bar changes to all Meteor Shower spells at 24 Fire Magic.
- Any foes Lv5 or under now drop Ectoplasm. The rate it can drop is doubled for each campaign you have bought.
- Added new symbols for guild capes: Corn Stalk, Yakkington Smiling, Happy Face With an Eyepatch & Ice Cube.
- Heroes can now use PvE-only skills. After all, do you use them in PvP?
- You may now create a character with GM as the first two letters. After six seconds, Dhuum asks you to change your name or he'll kick a puppy. If he kicks a puppy, your name is automatically changed to "I Let Dhuum Kick A Puppy".
- Panaku [Cutthroat Henchman] has been renamed to Panaku [Useless Henchman].
- In all cutscenes featuring Prince Rurik, his voice actor has been changed to Raiden from Metal Gear Solid 2.
- The Master's Reward for Imperial Sanctum now requires to wait 20 minutes before dealing the finishing blow to Shiro Tagachi.
- Beast Mastery & Wilderness Survival has been merged into one attribute: Animal Care. Also, whenever your pet dies, you suffer a 1% Death Penalty for being careless and a bad owner.
Seriously, ANet, I like the silliness, but yeah, let me write them next year. :P

I did find an NPC ally lvl19 with my character name and Class.
He sais somthing like Flare is the best skill ever.
Oh, I found him and Prince Rurik just outside the main gate into Ascalon City
Cant seem to enter Ascalon City through the portal gate (while being a Golem)
Hmm, Map Travel to an Ascalon outpost seems to kicks u out of the quest.

What's wrong with you dagrdagaz? You are in an instanced quest zone, just follow the marker, it's a pre-set quest.
And since you travelled back in time that guy with your name is, you know, you are from the past...
Edit: This new quest is again amazing, I enjoyed it quite a lot this is not as much content as it was past year, but still awesome, thanks

It's quite a lot of content if you scour the map for all the dialogues and the 4 hidden-or-not-so-hidden bosses - the rewards should certainly please anyone complaining about a certain picnic quest...

Wow apparently I rushed through it too fast and didn't look around. But I'm doing it on some more characters to read the silly dialogues.
I still would love to see a baton and riot shield as quest rewards.

I like the quest but I don't want to see any of the riot stuff persisting in the game. It bothers me even just a little for this single day. I'd rather they had taken some kind of magical or more primitive theme. I certainly don't want to see riot gear running around in other parts of the game.

and wars with spear as offhand? if it would act like a weapon, it'd be a disaster
